“Glory to God in the Highest and Peace to men of goodwill!”

Glory to God in the Highest and on earth peace to those on whom His favor rests.” Lk.2,14

On this festival day of Christmas Christians round the world celebrate the birth of the Prince of Peace!, of the Trinitarian God becoming man in the person of Jesus Christ. This reminds us therefore that life is a unique gift to all humanity and should be treasured by all mankind.

This very fact poses us the challenging question of respecting all human beings irrespective of caste creed or religion and living in peace and harmony with one another. Jesus the greatest exemplar for all time showed all human beings how to overcome war and all that evil demands of us by using the weapons   of Light and of Peace as against all weapons of darkness, of war, terrorism and those of destruction, to love as he loved all mankind.

Let us then, heed the Peace Message of Christmas and try hard to become peace builders in our own times, in our homes, families and community living.
